The exhaust tips look brilliant.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

The front is a bit too retro-ish. And that's the only compromise I hate about this car. The back and the interior can go against Europe's best, but the front got stuck in the past. It isn't as technological and complex looking as the rest of the car.

too chunky around the tips, doesn't match the tight lines elsewhere.

That chunkiness is in Ford's DNA. The GT never been as sleek and sexy as Ferrari. And that's why people rooted for it at Le Mans.

It doesn't need a big box around the tips, if it contoured around the like a pagani then had the wing suspended above it then it'd be better

But isn't the Pagani costing 1 million dollars?

I generally agree, but I think the front still works. You have to retain some sort of heritage.

The TTV6 is an interesting choice. I'd think it's a chance for the Zora to wow with a V8, but maybe Ford knows something we don't about 2016 Le Mans GTLM rules?

Probably my favorite angle, just for this area.

GTE rules will get more permissive on smaller engines, downsizing is a world wide trend, and in LMP they even accept 4 cylinders.

They have turned down the BMW Z4 GTE, not because the biggest engine on the production car was a V6, but because BMW put a monstrous V8 in it, that had nothing to do with the production car, and used a lot of dubious aero solutions. Ferrari called it a 'waivermobile' commenting on the number of rule breaks that the car has been given.

I seem to remember reading that the Z4 got a pass on the V8 because (1) it wouldn't be able to compete with the mostl V8 field otherwise and (2) the engine they dropped in it is from a different BMW production model.

But yes there's a general trend toward smaller, turbo'd engines. Bold hypothesizing might say Corvette and Ferrari will have to change eventually. Was Viper's factory effort still a V10?

That's the way to go. Why make the thing flat as a table when you can design it into looking good, and making the car faster.

Yes, but it was based on the street car's engine. It isn't spec car. They will probably allow more types of engines, but will add some kind of performance balancing rules. I wonder if they will allow hybrids.

I just can't get over how the roof extends onto the rear haunches leaving this gap in between it is really so so cool...though makes you wonder where it came from! Back's ugly front's alright but damn, that midsection....
